Certified Testing for Welding Fumes Exposure
Welding fumes can expose workers to hazardous substances such as chromium, manganese, lead, cadmium, and zinc oxide. Depending on the welding process (MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW), fume composition varies and may include respirable particulate matter and toxic metals.
CIHP’s Certified Industrial Hygienist and trained Occupational Hygiene Technologists provide:
- Personal air sampling and fume characterization
- Analysis relative to occupational exposure limits (OELs)
- Ventilation and engineering control evaluation
- PPE recommendations and OHS program integration
We ensure that your exposure control plans align with Alberta OHS Code, WorkSafeBC, and NIOSH/ACGIH guidelines.
